A WIDNES man has been arrested after jewellery was snatched from Beaverbrooks in Liverpool city centre.

At around midday on Sunday, August 31, a large amount of jewellery was stolen from Beaverbooks in St Johns Precinct.

After a CCTV appeal, Merseyside Police revealed that a 51-year-old man from Widnes has now been arrested on suspicion of theft and has been taken to a police station for questioning.
