TWO sheep were rescued after getting stuck in the Bridgewater Canal.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were tasked with the rescue at 4.50pm on Sunday, September 22.
One fire engine from Runcorn and two animal rescue units from Bollington and Lymm were called to Red Brow Lane.
After arriving at the scene, the rescuers discovered that two sheep were stuck in the Bridgwater Canal near Runcorn.
The team used specialist equipment to rescue the sheep and they were released into a nearby field.
Firefighters were in attendance for around three hours.
