CHILDREN and staff at a Runcorn-based nursery have raised £2,273.34 for Alder Hey hospital in Liverpool.
Dunkys Day Nurseries five branches held a range of activities and events throughout the year including Christmas bingo, Easter raffles, cake sales, sponsored keep fit, harvest hampers and sponsored walks.
Children and staff from the nursery visited Alder Hey this morning, along with mascot Ollie, to hand over the donation.
Joanna Davies-Bate, nursery manager, told Runcorn & Widnes World: "We would like to thank our wonderful families, staff and children for their continued support to raise this amazing amount for a truly wonderful charity."
