A MOTORCYCLIST in his 70s suffered serious injuries in a crash in Poole.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident, which involved only his red Ducati motorcycle, and took place at 6.40pm on Tuesday September 17.

The accident happened on Parkstone Road, near to the roundabout at the junction with Mount Pleasant Road.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Sergeant Craig Tatton, of the traffic unit, said: "We are continuing to investigate this incident and I am appealing to any witnesses to the collision, or the manner of riding of the motorcycle prior to it, to please contact us.

"I would also urge anyone who was driving in the area at the time and has dashcam fitted to their vehicle to check their footage for anything relevant."
