RESIDENTS of Weaverham are invited to join a community litter pick which will take place in the village this weekend.
The event has been organised by The Weaverham Trust, who are appealing for the community to come together and support the effort to improve the state of the area.
Taking place on Saturday morning, the tidy-up will run in conjunction with World Clean Up Day – a huge movement across 157 countries aiming to create a cleaner planet.
The event is also being supported by Cheshire West and Chester Council and Weaverham Parish Council, with councillors from both authorities making appearances on the day.

The litter pick will start at 10.30am on Saturday, and everyone involved will meet at Weaverham Community Centre before setting off around the village.
