Four people have been arrested in connection with an assault outside a Widnes convenience store.
On Monday, August 19, police were called to reports of a 27-year-old man being assaulted by a gang of youths outside the Best One Store at around 7pm.
Police say the victim had his "head stamped on" in the attack.
Officers carried out raids this morning and four men, aged 16, 17, 18 and 23, were arrested on suspicion of offences including attempted section 18 assault, section 18 wounding and violent disorder.
All four are currently being questioned in police custody.
