THE new £20.5 million Warrington West railway station is looking almost ready.
The station in Chapelford will take passengers to Warrington, Manchester and Liverpool.
The site had been due to open this summer but Network Rail, the operator of the rail network, confirmed to the Warrington Guardian last month it is aiming to open it to passengers when timetables change in December.
Safety tests and inspections need to take place before the station can formally open.
The facility will benefit from a 250-space car park and secure parking for 50 bicycles.
