A LORRY driver was fortunate not to suffer serious injury when youths threw a rock from a motorway bridge in Merseyside.
Luckily the projectile stuck in the windscreen
Now police have used social media to urge parents to take control of their children.
Motorway police said on twitter: "Patrols currently assisting a HGV driver on the M62 that has had his truck damaged by youths throwing bricks from an over bridge.
"Thankfully no injuries on this occasion. "
Later, they tweeted: "Parents, do you know what your children are up to?
"Some in Huyton have been throwing rocks off motorway bridges, luckily this HGV driver suffered no injuries on this occasion.
"A car wouldn't have been so fortunate."
