A FIRE involving an oven broke out in the kitchen of a home in Widnes.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called at around 12.05pm today (Friday, July 26) following reports of a fire at a property on Somerville Road.
Two fire engines attended and discovered that the fire involved an oven but it had been extinguished on arrival.
The kitchen was heavily smoke logged so crews used a large fan to clear the smoke from the home.
No injuries have been reported.
Firefighters left the scene around 20 minutes later.
