FORECASTERS have issued a warning for heavy rain across Runcorn and Widnes.
The Met Office say heavy rainfall is expected to move north from 9am on Saturday, July 27 to 3pm on Sunday, July 28.
They are warning that this rainfall could cause flooding and travel disruption.
There also may be fast flowing or deep floodwater causing dangerous conditions.
A Met Office spokesman said: "An area of rain is expected to move slowly and erratically northwestwards across parts of the UK on Saturday and Sunday, and while some places within the warning area may see very little others could see several hours of heavy rain.
"Accumulations of 40-60mm are possible, with perhaps as much as 80-100mm in places, especially over high ground."
