Mersey Gateway Bridge now full reopened after crash
THE Mersey Gateway Bridge is now fully reopened after an earlier crash on the way to Liverpool.
Around 3pm on Saturday, Widnes Police advised motorists to find alternative routes, after two saloon cars crashed, with one flipping onto its roof.
The occupants of the vehicles managed to get out of their cars and one woman was passed into the care of paramedics.
The carriageway was closed for around an hour as firefighters worked with police to make the vehicles safe.
