FIREFIGHTERS were called to a fire at an abandoned care home last night.
One crew from Widnes was called to Coronation Drive at 5.20pm to put out the small fire at the exterior of the building.
They used a hand appliance to put out the flames.
They remained for some time checking the area and called the police due to the suspected deliberate ignition.
Anyone with information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML 447596.
