A NEW motorbike has been donated to Merseyside and Cheshire Blood Bikes thanks to an 18 month fundraising project.
Local Lions Clubs spent 18 months raising £7,800 through various projects in a bid to buy the new bike.
Merseyside and Cheshire Blood Bikes are a group of volunteers who transport urgent blood, tissue samples and even baby milk to hospitals and laboratories across the UK.
The new bike was handed over to blood bike volunteers by representatives from the six Lions Clubs: Birkenhead, Wirral, West Kirby, Wallasey, Ellesmere Port and Cheshire at Gordale Garden Centre.
