DETECTIVES are appealing for information and footage from the public following an altercation in Frodsham.

The incident, involving a group of people, took place at around 12.25am on Sunday, June 16.

It began outside the Costa Coffee shop on Church Street and continued outside The Cholmondeley Arms.

A number of people suffered facial injuries as a result of the incident, four of whom were taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital.

One of them – a 37-year-old man from Frodsham – had suffered a broken jaw. Another man – a 26-year-old from Northwich – had sustained a fractured eye socket.

Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and detectives are urging anyone who was in the area and witnessed what happened, or has any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward.

They also want to speak to anyone with information regarding four men and a woman who are believed to have instigated the altercation.

Detective Constable Rebecca Lawson said: "This is believed to have been an isolated incident.

"We are determined to establish the full circumstances of what took place, identify who was responsible and make them face the consequences of their actions.
