ARTISTS inspired by the world of pop culture are exhibiting and selling their work in Warrington this Saturday.

Original artwork, prints, photographs, drawings, canvases and framed art inspired by everything from superheroes and Stars Wars to iconic game characters and anime will be at Warrington Market from 10am.

Some of the artists will even be drawing and painting "live art" on their stalls so you can sit back and watch while their pictures take shape throughout the day.

And no geeky event would be complete without a selection of comic book and sci-fi characters friends an appearance, and they will also be posing for photos throughout the day, both in the market and in the forecourt.

Cllr Maureen McLaughlin, Warrington Borough Council’s cabinet member for culture, said: “Warrington Market is more than just a market. It’s a hub of activity and provides a range of specialist events, while also supporting emerging talent.

“The Geek Art Market is a great example and is just one of a series of pop-up events taking place in and around the temporary market over the coming months.”
