A 46-YEAR-OLD man is in 'serious condition' in hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Runcorn.
At 7.15am on Wednesday, police were called to the junction of Astmoor Road and the exit slip road of the Daresbury Expressway following reports of an incident involving a Vauxhall Corsa and an Ocado delivery van.
The driver and a passenger from the Corsa were both taken to hospital.
The passenger, a 46-year-old man from Runcorn, remains in hospital in a serious condition.
The driver, a 29-year-old man from Runcorn, has been discharged.
The driver of the van, a 32-year-old man from Liverpool, was uninjured.
Detectives have launched an appeal for witnesses to the crash.
Sergeant Andy Dennison said: "Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and as part of our investigation we want to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information which may aid our investigation.
"We are also appealing for anyone who thinks that they may have dashcam footage which may aid our investigation to get in touch."
