A RUNCORN-based rehab centre has been rated as “good” after an inspection by the social care watchdog.

Oasis Recovery - part of the UKAT Group - is a private residential rehabilitation facility treating patients across the North West for substance and process addiction types.

According to the Care Quality Commission’s inspection summary, they rated Oasis Recovery as good because “We saw good interaction between staff and clients at the service, with respect being shown to all parties.

“Clients felt comfortable with staff at the service, and felt they could talk to them as many staff members were former clients in treatment programmes.

“The service was following best practice and national guidance with relation to treatment.”

Oasis Recovery was marked as good for all five core elements of the inspection, including safety, effectiveness, level of care provided, responsiveness, and the leadership of the service.

Eytan Alexander, managing director of the UKAT Group, said: “We’re thrilled with the recent CQC rating which followed their inspection earlier this year.

“It highlights the fantastic work that we have and will continue to do to help those suffering with addiction across the North West.

"The rating comes at a time when budget cuts to public drug and alcohol treatment services are at an all time high, with a recent investigation by UKAT revealing a £19m cut to services across the North West in just six years.

“Budget cuts to local treatment services are beginning to bite, but fortunately, we’re here to help.”
