A DAY of events promoting lung health will be held at Halton Stadium next week.

Organised by Halton Borough Council and Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital (LHCH) the day of lung advice and testing entitled 'diagnosing respiratory conditions' is at the stadium's Karalius Suite on Monday.

Experts from Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, rated 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission in 2016, will provide short talks on the diagnosis of respiratory conditions, inhaler techniques and lung health.

There will also be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions at the end of the session.

Dot Price, manager of the respiratory diagnostics department at LHCH said: "We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of the service we provide which ensures essential diagnosis and treatment of lung disease.

"We hope that the residents of Halton will join us at the event to find out more about lung health and LHCH."

Halton Borough Council's executive board member for health and wellbeing, Cllr Marie Wright, said: "This is an ideal opportunity to learn all about respiratory health conditions for patients and carers.

"Come along and see us for a cuppa."
