EACH week we find a fabulous and fun selection of places and events to recommend in Bolton and the surrounding area.
This week we have been looking for the best of what is on offer on the Bank Holiday Weekend.
To make the most of your luxurious three-day weekend take a look at our recommendations below.
1940s weekend with the ELR
THIS weekend is the annual East Lancashire Railway 1940s weekend.
Be whisked back in time with the all-singing, all-dancing vintage event.
A host of Second World War and Home Front-themed activities are set to take place along the heritage attraction’s 12-mile line.
Each of the stations, Bury’s Bolton Street, Ramsbottom, Rawtenstall and Heywood; will be transformed.
There will be music, entertainment and dancing.
Hundreds of dedicated re-enactors will also be on hand, alongside famous faces including Winston Churchill and classic characters from ‘Allo ‘Allo.
To coincide with the ELR event, in Ramsbottom, the whole town will be showing the Blitz Spirit as streets and shops are given a war-years makeover.
Steam ride tickets available online or at any of the stations.
Megastar Michael Bublé puts on a show
FILL your Sunday night with swing by nabbing one of the last few tickets to see Michael Bublé at the Manchester Arena.
Manchester is the latest leg of Bublé’s world tour which will soon cross the Atlantic to the US and Canada before he returns to Europe to wow in Austria and Italy.
The Canadian megastar is performing from 7.30pm and there are limited tickets left to see him starting at £97.
