THE first Mach Ska and Punk Fest will be taking place at three venues in Machynlleth this weekend with a variety of bands and music.

It opens on Friday, May 24, at Y Llew Coch with punk poet Richie Smith at 6pm, followed by special guest DJ Herbie Jack, while the band GBH will be playing from 9.30pm.

Saturday starts off at the Skinner’s Arms with Pizzatramp at 3pm, with Millie Manders and the Shutup at Y Llew Coch at 3.50pm; and Deathtraps at Y Plas at 4.40pm.

Playing at Y Llew Coch from 5.30pm will be The Woodsman, following local favourites Cartoon Violence, Janus Stark and Vice Squad.

Sunday opens with Deadly Light Shade at the Skinner’s Arms at 3pm, with The Bitten at Y Llew Coch at 4pm; and Tenplusone at Y Plas at 5pm.

Finishing things off on Sunday at Y Llew Coch from 6pm will be Reckless Breakfast, Peter and the Testtube Babies, and Discharge.
