A CAR owner was left fuming after her vehicle was vandalised while she was at work.

The vehicle was parked off Clarence Street, Newton-le-Willows, near to Portland House retirement home.

The owner was shocked to find that the car had been vandalised while it was parked on Sunday (May 19).

A group of youths were reported to be in the area who inflicted the damage to the vehicle.

It is believed an air weapon was used to cause the damage, with a circle hole surrounded by shatter on one of the windows.

The damage resulted in glass being shattered all over the children's car seats in the vehicle.

Police have been contacted in relation to the matter.
