AN UPLIFTING concert is set to attract a popular reception when it returns to a town.

The Asaph Ensemble came to North Wales last year.

Their biggest concert was in Prestatyn where they will be visiting again on Saturday, June 1.

Reverend David Ash, vicar of Prestatyn, said: "The venue will be the Parish Church (Christ Church) which is a marvellous location for concerts.

"The 11 strong group includes a string quintet, two organists, a trumpeter, an oboe player and a wonderful soprano singer.

"Their programme this year is called ‘Eclectic Classics’ and includes pieces by Mozart, Purcell, Vivaldi, Handel and Gabriel’s Oboe from the film The Mission."

The doors open at Prestatyn Parish Church at 6pm - seating is unreserved. The performance starts at 7pm.

Tickets are £8 in advance and £10 on the door.

Telephone Val on 01745 855958. There will be a free glass of wine or fruit juice during the interval.

The St Asaph Ensemble are a group of Christian musicians from London.
