A CAMPERVAN conversion and sales business in Runcorn has moved to a new home amid plans for expansion.

DC Conversions and DC Campervan Sales has opened new expanded premises at Arkwright Court on Astmoor Industrial Estate in order to cope with increased demand.

Husband and wife team Dave and Claire Barlow run the company – with the former working on converting vans and the latter involved in sales.

Dave said: "It's amazing – we are so busy that we’ve had to move to get more, and may even be looking at expanding again soon.

"We love it here and feel really proud to be a part of this community on Arkwright Court and Astmoor."

The couple, who have two children, are also planning on taking on two apprentices – with Dave himself having learned his trade with an apprenticeship, and Claire having gone into work through a YTS course.

Claire added: "We have also been in discussions with Riverside College in Widnes and we are looking at taking on two apprentices by May – one to help Dave because he’s so busy, and another to help me on the admin side of things.

"Dave's work is totally bespoke, every campervan he creates is unique and individual to suit the customer's needs.

"It's the handmade details that make the difference and Dave makes everything himself.

"People can choose whether they want all drawers or drawers, cupboards and wardrobes – he also does full gas and electrical fittings, and Bluetooth systems that can be controlled by a mobile phone.

"We are keen to put something back into the community and give others the same kind of start we had."
