A 42-YEAR-old man from Runcorn with a history of anti-social behaviour has been given a last chance to curb his criminality.

Stuart Gallimore was handed a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) at Warrington Magistrates' Court on Friday for persistent offending in Runcorn.

He was recently convicted of a racially aggravated public order offence committed at his home in Bournemouth Close in November.

Gallimore has a history of public order offences, as well as criminal damage, assault, motoring offence, making unnecessary calls to emergency services and causing problems for neighbours.

Gallimore’s CBO bans him from acting in an anti-social manner anywhere in Cheshire, being drunk in a public place, making excessive noise, calling the emergency services unless in genuine need and being abusive to members of the emergency services.

Police constable, Andy Maskall, of Runcorn Local Policing Unit, said: “Gallimore’s persistent criminal and anti-social behaviour has had a detrimental effect on the community in Runcorn.

“There has to be a point where the police and courts say that enough is enough, which is why Gallimore has been given a Criminal Behaviour Order.

“No-one should feel intimidated by the actions of other people and we will use whatever powers we have at our disposal to make Runcorn an even more pleasant place to live, work and visit.

“The aim of the CBO is to protect members of the public from Gallimore’s persistent behaviour and deter his offending.

“I hope the order gives him the boundaries he needs to improve his behaviour.

“I also hope it sends a strong message that we will not tolerate this kind of behaviour in Runcorn and that, working closely with our partners, we will take the necessary action against those who persistently cause trouble and commit crimes in the town.”

Anyone who sees Gallimore breaching any of the conditions of his CBO is asked to contact Cheshire Constabulary on 101 to report it.
