A DRUG kingpin has been on the run for almost four months.
Alfred Philip Dear, 45, formerly of James Street Caravan Site in York, was due to be sentenced at York Crown Court in December, but went on the run, and has not been seen since.
A £5,000 reward has been offered by Crimestoppers for information which leads to Dear's arrest, after he and his ten co-conspirators were sentenced to more than 102 years in prison over a conspiracy to supply heroin and cocaine in York.
The drug supply ring was smashed following a three-year investigation by North Yorkshire Police, but Dear has so far evaded recapture by the force.
This week, a spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Police said: "Enquiries remain ongoing to locate him and anyone with any information about his whereabouts should call North Yorkshire Police on 101 and pass information to the Force Control Room, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111".
Information can also be passed through the non-traceable anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org
