A CEREBRAL palsy charity has received more than £1,000 thanks to Widnes college students and Boohoo.com.

Stick 'n' Step, a charity based in Runcorn which helps cerebral palsy suffers and their families, held a successful fundraising sale with the popular online fashion retailer, Boohoo.

The all-day fundraiser was made possible by the generosity of the company which donated 55 boxes of new clothing to be sold at Riverside College.

Staff members and students at the college played their part by helping the charity with set up and sales, and purchased items to help raise a total of £1,500.

Riverside College and Stick ‘N’ Step have built a continuing relationship at previous fundraisers, including pamper events and beauty evenings.

Kelly Marks, community fundraiser for Stick 'n' Step said: "The day and the support has been so fantastic and we as a charity would hope that we are able to come in to the college and do more fundraising events in the future."
