FIREFIGHTERS had a busy Sunday night as they attended two separate wheelie bin fires and a skip fire in Widnes.
On Sunday night at 9.25pm, crews were called to Chadwick Lane in Widnes following a report of a fire in the open.
On arrival the crew discovered a wheelie bin well alight in a wooded area.
Just over an hour later, crews were called at 10.45pm to Hale Road to a report of a fire involving a wheelie bin in the open.
On arrival the crew discovered the wheelie bin well alight.
Firefighters used a hose to extinguish the fire and were in attendance at both scenes for around 15 minutes.
The fires are believed to have been started deliberately.
Anyone with information about the fire should call Cheshire Constabulary on 101, quoting IML 368156.
At 12.30am, firefighters attended Abbey Close following reports of a skip fire.
On arrival the crew found the skip well alight.
Firefighters used a hose to extinguish the fire in the open and notified the police of the incident.
They were in attendance for around half-an-hour.
