Cheshire fire engine
RUNCORN firefighters were called to a serious collision between a car and a bus in the town yesterday, Tuesday.
Just before 4pm, the Runcorn crew, along with a team from Widnes, were dispatched to a collision in Southwood Avenue.
One person was medically trapped in a car and needed to be cut out using electronic cutting equipment.
The casualty was then passed over to paramedics.
In a separate incident approximately 30 minutes later, crews from Runcorn and Penketh attended an industrial building fire in Barlow Way.
They found a small fire involving the cladding which was soon extinguished.
