ROAD closures will be put in place in Widnes from Friday this week.
As of March 29, a number of road closures will start on Watkinson Way until April 10 to allow resurfacing work on the gyratory to be completed.
There will be four phases of closures – two full weekend closures, and week night closures.
Signed diversions will be in place.
Details are:
• Friday, March 29, 7pm – Monday, April 1, 5am: weekend full closure southbound from Derby Road to Fiddlers Ferry Road.
• Monday, April 1, 7pm – Wednesday, April 3, 5am: night time closures each night (open during the day). Affects northbound traffic wanting to access Fiddlers Ferry Road and Earle Road.
• Friday, April 5, 7pm – Monday, April 8, 5am: weekend full closure at Fiddlers Ferry Road.
• Monday, April 8, 7pm – Wednesday, April 10, 5am: night time closures each night (open during the day). Affects all traffic travelling southbound.
