MANOR Park Primary School headteacher Simon Cotterill was given a good soaking on Friday to raise money for Comic Relief.
In addition to wearing red noses and red clothes, students took part in a joke competition, with categories including animals, news and school.
Each class winner earned the right to tip a bucket of icy water over a teacher, governor or PTA member. Runners-up were able to throw a cold wet sponge.
Logan Walley from year 2 won his category, and said: "It was really fun to throw the sponge at our deputy head Mrs Jeffery, but I am happy it's for Comic Relief."
All the teachers and pupils gathered on the playground to cheer on the brave volunteers.
Head teacher Simon Cotterill, who also had a good soaking, said: “Thanks to all teachers, governors and parents for being such good fun.
"We all have had a good laugh while raising much-needed funds for charity.”
