FESTIVAL goers will receive the red carpet treatment as they enter a headline show through the legs of a giant robot.

Knutsford Music Festival is back for 2019, with the Saturday night headline event taking place at a new and exciting town centre venue.

The festival is set to run across four days, from June 20 to 23, with headline events curated by Knutsford Town Council and a selection of fringe events hosted by local businesses across town.

‘Blues Night’ will be back for its third year on Friday, June 21 after two hugely successful Blues events in 2017 and 2018 headlined by Rebecca Downes and Mat Walklate and Tom Attah respectively.

This year’s Blues event will be hosted by The Belle Epoque, which is returning to the festival in 2019.

The acts taking part on the night are due to be announced shortly.

An evening of classical music will also be featured for a third year at The Courthouse, which hosted the event in 2018 and will be hosting the event again on Sunday, June 23.

Last year’s classical event featured Halle Brass from the world-renowned Halle Orchestra.

The Saturday headliner will be performing at a new-to-2019 venue, Vermilion Art Gallery’s Studio on the Stanley Road Industrial Estate, just across the road from Knutsford Railway Station.

Festival-goers can enter the event through the legs of a giant robot and proceed down a red carpet into the studio to see this year’s festival headliner.

“We are really excited to be bringing festival goers a new, very cool and unique venue for 2019,” said deputy town clerk Lisa Benskin, who is managing the music festival.

“It’s a fantastic space for live music and a real hidden Knutsford gem.

“It’s also great to be back at the Courthouse, a venue that was highly praised by last year’s performers and to see ever popular venue Belle Epoque involved in this year’s festival too.”

Announcements on this year’s performers will be coming very soon. For up-to-date information and news on the festival please visit our website at knutsfordmusicfestival.com or follow us on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
