A FOODBANK has received an increased number of donations thanks to a Widnes company.

Zep UK, a cleaning manufacturer, has started visiting L'Chaim-Chabad, a foodbank based in Salford.

With about 15 permanent volunteers, L’Chaim are always looking for businesses to donate what they can to help those in need and with this in mind, Zep UK donated food and cleaning products last week.

Religious holidays such as Passover, which starts on April 19, can be stressful as it is a time when a large quantity of food is bought and prepared for the celebration and the home is cleaned and prepared.

This provided a great opportunity for Zep UK to donate cleaning products as well as food to help struggling families.

Speaking on behalf on Zep UK, sales and service director, Chris Burnett, said: "Getting involved with communities where we can is something myself and Zep UK are really keen to do.

"Visiting L’Chaim-Chabad was a fantastic place to start this initiative and I am looking forward to many more of these opportunities."

Zep UK will be looking for similar opportunities in the North West, for more details please contact info@zep.co.uk.
