A TOP Canadian software company has opened its first UK office in Daresbury.

Award-winning software provider Kognitiv Spark has moved into a new base at Sci-Tech Daresbury's Innovation Centre as part of its worldwide expansion plans.

Founded in New Brunswick in 2016, the business offers 'secure industrial worker support solutions that leverage augmented and mixed reality'.

Duncan McSporran - co-founder, chief operating officer and vice-president for aerospace and defence at Kognitiv Spark - said: "The decision to expand our presence in the UK was a logical step in our growth strategy.

Kognitiv Spark has picked up awards from the likes of Microsoft and NATO in recent years.
