A GENEROUS seven-year-old is doing her bit to clean up the community by making her own dog poo bag dispensers.
Daisy Littlemore, of Weston Point in Runcorn, was inspired by a news story about a 10-year-old who had created the dispensers out of plastic bottles to tackle the problem.
Daisy's mum, Rachael, explained: "Daisy said we could do it round here because there's always loads dog poo.
"We have a cockerpoo and we go walking quite a lot."
Residents in the village often comment on the amount of dog poo in the area in their Weston Point Facebook group, but the hope is that dog owners will now be able to clean up their dog's mess, even if they have forgotten to bring a poo bag of their own.
Rachael said: "We used empty one litre plastic bottles.
"I cut a square out and Daisy has done a little message and filled them.
"She loved doing it!"
Already, the family have had a positive response from the community, with residents pledging to help.
Rachael added: "We have had lots of people commenting saying they will help fill them up- I wasn't expecting it!"
Daisy's handmade poo bag dispensers can be found in Russel Road, Sandy Lane, Mather Avenue and near Weston Point school.
