A MUM and her daughters from Runcorn have won national pageant titles in a family effort to raise money for charity.
Nikki Urmson, 42, along with her daughters, Libbi, 16, and Summer, 10, won their categories at Belle International Pageants in September.
They are now gearing up for the grand finals which are held in Spain in April.
Nikki explained: "The girls have been doing pageants for many years.
"They were begging me to do it because there was an over 30s category.
"I got there on the day and I didn't want to do it at all!"
Despite her nerves, Nikki won her category and is now continuing fundraising with her daughters for the Ronald McDonald House at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, an important cause to the pageant organisers.
The house offers families a sanctuary where parents of children receiving care and treatment at the hospital can stay close by, in accommodation provided free of charge.
Nikki is planning a raffle with help from staff at Halton Lodge Primary School in Grangeway to raise more funds for the charity, which is one of the aims of Belle International Pageants.
The family of winners recently received more good news when Nikki's eldest daughter, Georgia, 21, was chosen to represent England with Miss Landscapes in China.
If anyone would like to support the Urmson family, you can donate raffle prizes by bringing them to Halton Lodge Primary School.
