A TEENAGER from Runcorn is set for stardom as he debuts his first solo concert this summer.

Ricardo Benig organised a charity show in aid of Halton Haven Hospice last year and is continuing his success with An Audience with Ricardo Benig in The Brindley Theatre.

The live show will take the audience on a journey through life-changing music including songs by Whitney Houston, James Brown and The Jackson 5.

The 19-year-old was first worried that his young age might get in his way.

He said: "I had the idea of doing my own show but had it on hold for a while.

"When I started having more availability, I could start to do my own thing.

"I just got in touch with The Brindley Theatre who have been really supportive and took me seriously even though I'm quite young."

An Audience with Ricardo Benig will feature special guest Ella Mckevitt.

It will take to the stage on Saturday, May 18 at 7.30pm and tickets will cost £12.
