RUNCORN Linnets is raising important funds with the help of a new comedy night.

The club will be staging its first comedy evening in the clubhouse at the Millbank Linnets Stadium in Murdishaw.

This is in association with Colin Havey Promotions with Colin himself as host.

Colin's Giggle Shack has been bringing acts to venues in Helsby and Runcorn since 2017 and is already set to perform at The Brindley Theatre in May.

The Linnets are getting in early with their triple bill presentation on Friday, March 29, with doors opening at 7pm.

Big Lou, otherwise known as Lewis Jones will be headlining the night.

He is a well-known face on the comedy scene and a regular voice on various radio stations.

Mike Bignall, Runcorn Linnets chairman, said: "This is a completely new venture for Runcorn Linnets and certainly something different from the serious business of winning football matches!

"We hope as many as possible, our fans and those who have never been to The Millbank or to any football match for that matter, will support the night.

"We are expecting a cracking night and the beer to be flowing to ensure throats hoarse with laughter are kept well lubricated!"

Tickets are £15 each and are available from behind the clubhouse bar on first team match days.

Anyone interested can get in touch with the club through its website.

This is an adults-only event for those aged 18 and over.
