A HOUSE was torched in a suspected arson attack in Widnes last night (Friday).
Firefighters were called to reports of a house fire in Kemberton Drive, Widnes shortly before 11pm.
The fire was described as "quite severe" on arrival, and crews used four breathing apparatus and two hose reels to tackle it.
After the fire was put out, crews cleared the property of smoke with a ventilation fan, and monitored the house throughout the night to prevent reignition.
Cheshire Fire Service says all occupants of the house were accounted for.
A fire investigation is being carried out as it is being treated as "a suspected arson attack".
