FIREFIGHTERS were called after a blaze broke out on a large pile of runnish near to a warehouse.
Crews tackled the blaze involving a large pile of rubbish and grass material near to the warehouse distribution centre on Blackheath Lane, Runcorn at around 5.30pm on Friday.
Fire crews say there was thought to have been around 70 tonnes of hedge cuttings amongst the rubbish, and it measured around 50 square metres in size.
Crews used a hose reel to extinguish the flames.
