A GARAGE manager from Runcorn will be taking on the London Marathon in aid of Children with Cancer UK.

Kevin Graven, 41, is the manager of Kwik Fit in Mersey Road, Runcorn, and has gained a place in the marathon thanks to Kwik Fit's generous pledge.

The company is aiming to raise a total of £1m for Children with Cancer which has earned them 20 golden places in the prestigious race.

Kevin said: "I was first to put my name down.

"The London Marathon has always been on my bucket list and what a good cause to do it for and raise some money for the charity.

"At the same time it's changing the lives of these children and helping them towards ringing that end of treatment bell and onto a life that they deserve."

Kevin only found out he had a place three months ago and went straight into training for the big day in April.

If anyone would like to help Kevin reach his £2,500 sponsorship target, you can visit his fundraising page.

Donations can also be made at the Kwik Fit store in Mersey Road.
