STUDENTS from high-schools in Runcorn and Widnes joined forces to enjoy an unforgettable skiing trip.

Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy (OBA) and Ormiston Chadwick Academy (OCA) travelled to Les Menuires, France, for a week of skiing and fun, bonding activities.

The students, who ranged in age from year eight to year 13, set off from their schools at 4.30am on Saturday, January 12, flying from Manchester Airport to Grenoble Airport which was followed by a two-and-a-half hour coach ride.

The 42 students were separated into different groups depending on their skiing experience and ability, with a number of students moving up into higher groups throughout the week.

They followed an enjoyable ski plan which included six consecutive days on the slopes a range of activities where students could relax and socialise.

Evening activities included a movie night, bum-boarding, swimming, crepe evening, a visit to a shopping centre and a games night.

At the end of the week, all students undertook an assessment carried out by their highly trained and experienced instructors and received a level on the French ski school grading criteria.

All students made stunning progress with their ski ability and impressed their instructors and school staff alike.
