THE CREATOR of a children's theatre company in Cheshire is set to release a new single in the hope of making it big.

Andrew Curphey, 32, from Widnes, has been taken on by Marc Nixon, manager of Anne Nolan, the eldest sister of The Nolans.

Marc had an original song written especially for Andrew by songwriters Terry Bradford & Sussie Arvesen, who wrote hits for The Nolans and Buck Fizz.

The song and recording was entered into the BBC Eurovision Selection 2019 and will now be released as Andrew's debut single, Inspiration (I’m Nothing Without You).

Marc added: "More recently Andrew was honoured to be commissioned by Halton Borough Council and the Mersey Gateway to create and direct a performance piece that was presented to Her Majesty the Queen and the Duchess of Sussex to celebrate the official opening of the Mersey Gateway bridge.

"Andrew was able to meet and have a conversation with Her Majesty and the Duchess.

"They discussed the project and they mentioned how humbled they were by the performance.

"Andrew is now ready to begin a new recording career and with the launch of his debut single we are sure to see much more of Andrew Curphey in the future."

Over the past ten years Andrew has created and continues to manage and direct the Andrew Curphey Theatre Company.

Each year the company produce various showcases and musical productions which are staged at the Brindley Theatre in Runcorn.

Classes in children's theatre and youth theatre take place in Warrington, Frodsham, Runcorn and Widnes.
