A FREE open day is taking place this weekend at The Studio in Widnes.
Residents are being invited to enjoy free refreshments as they explore the space in Lacey Street on Sunday, January 20 from 12-3pm which provides free or low-cost creative activities and events.
People will be able to get hands on with music sessions for tots, singing with the choir, arts and crafts, lantern making, creative writing, and board or console games.
You can sign up for the next season of free sessions and also bring your ideas for what you want The Studio to offer for you and the community.
These session are funded by Reaching Communities Big Lottery fund and further funding has been provided for a new carpet and toilet floors, a new sound desk, sound proofing, fencing and many other improvements.
Louise Nulty, The Studio manager, said: "The doors are always open to the community.
"This venue is here to reflect what the community needs- we have so much going on now and thanks to the funding we can keep building on that for a few years to come."
