A MOTORIST was arrested on suspicion of drug driving after a crash involving a police car and a Ford Mondeo yesterday, Wednesday.
The collision happened shortly before 8pm on Prescot Road in Widnes.
The driver of the Mondeo, a 42-year-old man from Widnes, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs, driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a controlled drug above the specified limit and possessing a controlled drug of class C.
He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
