A NEWLY-opened waffle house in Orford has donated thousands of pounds worth of toys to charity after celebrating a bumper first month in business.
Planet Snax, which opened in late 2018 on Orford Lane, sells imported confectionary from around the world that is not usually found in the UK - as well as waffles and milkshakes.
And to celebrate its opening, the store donated £2,500 worth of toys to service users at the St Joseph’s Family Centre - a Museum Street-based charity which supports families in need in Warrington - in the run-up Christmas.
Owner Scott Smith said: “I decided to open the shop because I thought it would do well, but its surpassed my expectations.
“Because of that, I decided we should do something for charity.”
