INDIE band The Fireflys from Runcorn have been honoured with their own craft beer by Blueball Brewery.
Based in Runcorn, the brewery, which opened in 2010, is run by Alex Haycraft.
Alex decided to approach the band after he was involved in last year’s Winterfest festival at the Unlock Runcorn compound.
Lee Wylding, who founded the band, said: “To have a beer brewed in our honour, especially from such a prestigious company is incredible, and I think it’s a great synergy both for us and Alex.”
The beer is called Northern Lights after the band’s upcoming fifth album titled Only Us, Northern Lights.
It is a four per cent golden ale and is on sale from Society Tap Rooms Ltd in Runcorn.
