THOSE visiting loved ones in Widnes Cemetery can make use of free hot drinks and a friendly face this Christmas Eve.
Methodist Churches in Widnes are hoping to bring people some relief from the cold by providing free refreshments on December 24 between 10am and 3pm at Cemetery Lodge.
In its first year, the event aims to help lonely people or those feeling down after visiting graves by giving them a hot drink, biscuits and a chance to chat with other residents in the area and those from Widnes Methodists Churches.
Refreshments are being provided by Moar and Butler Funeral Directors and everyone is welcome to attend without prior notice on the day.
