A DETERMINED woman is inspiring people to make healthier choices after helping Widnes residents lose over 200 stone.

Catherine Halsall will be opening her first weight loss clinic on Saturday, January 13 at Optimum House Business Park in Hale Road following her own life-changing weight loss.

She lost five stone in six months after needing to change her lifestyle due to fertility issues and tried the 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan which re-educates people on portion size and carbohydrate control.

Catherine said: "I had struggled with my weight for over 20 years and have tried every diet out there and this is the only plan that has worked for me.

"Life is so fast paced these days that people have less time to cook from scratch and people turn to convenience food and takeaways much more as they have very little time to cook.

"This is the happiest I have been in a very long time- to watch a client transform in front of you to a healthier, slimmer, more confident and happy person is truly amazing.

"I feel blessed to have found this plan and career.

"I have even helped clients reverse their type two diabetes, lower blood pressure, and reverse sleep apnea and the need for gastric surgery."

This year Catherine has also taken part in a zip wire challenge on the largest zip wire in Europe, raising £11,754.93 for Diabetes UK.
