AN ECO-FRIENDLY pet store has opened as the first raw food shop in Runcorn.

Rawral Natural pet store, in Percival Lane, is owned by Allessandria Sivori, 26, and offers fresh and raw feeding, eco-friendly products and homeopathic remedies for pets.

Allessandria has been involved with dogs all her life and believes that a raw diet, which consists of raw meat, fruit and vegetables, is best for pets.

She said: "Throughout my childhood, attending dog shows was a very common occurrence on weekends with my grandmother, who owned German Shepherds under the Trulywayside Kennel Club affix.

"Our dogs nutrition and health was always paramount and over the years I have gained a valuable amount of knowledge on the subject.

"Rawral stock a vast selection of products, from handmade collars and leads, natural air dried treats, high quality kibble, eco-friendly toys and an extensive range of homeopathic remedies.

"Raw feeding is a species appropriate diet- it's what our carnivorous pets thrive off whether we agree with the concept or not.

"That’s why this way of feeding is on a rapid increase - its cost effective in the long run, preventing common diet related diseases such as diabetes."

Rawral are open six days a week and offer delivery to surrounding areas.
