A TEENAGER has been remanded in custody for his own safety following a police chase which ended on train tracks.
Officers were initially alerted to a domestic incident then followed the 18-year-old to Birchwood Train Station yesterday, Tuesday.
Jake Bray, of Poulton Crescent in Woolston, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed article in a public place, criminal damage and two counts of common assault.
He was subsequently charged with possession of a knife.
Warrington Police tweeted: 'Officers have used their team work to detain a juvenile male who had run onto to the Manchester to Liverpool railway line near to Birchwood Station. Situation brought under control safely'.
